Iława authorities capture 1.5-meter boa constrictor
A 1.5-meter boa constrictor was discovered crawling in the streets of Iława, Poland, near a hospital, a train station, and a tax office. Local firefighters responded to the report on Tuesday afternoon, securing the area with tape before capturing the reptile.
Firefighters identified the animal as a boa constrictor and provided it with a climate-controlled space at the station overnight. Following an investigation, authorities found no registered breeding of this species in the city or the surrounding county. The municipal crisis management center has taken custody of the snake and is currently seeking a new home for it, such as a zoo or a specialized foundation.
