Ib Kamara departs Off-White as creative director
Ib Kamara is stepping down from his role as creative director of the luxury streetwear label Off-White. The departure, described by the Milan-based brand as a mutual decision, concludes a four-year tenure that began after the death of founder Virgil Abloh.
Kamara, who initially served as art and image director in 2022 before becoming official creative director in 2024, is credited with maintaining the brand’s cultural relevance and expanding its presence, including bringing the label to New York Fashion Week.
The exit comes as Off-White undergoes commercial restructuring under its parent company, Bluestar Alliance, amid declining consumer demand. No successor has been announced, and the brand is not scheduled to participate in the upcoming fashion week season.
