Ibagué authorities dismantle drug gang and raid extortion group

Authorities in Ibagué, Tolima, have conducted significant operations against criminal organizations. In one operation, the Fiscalía General de la Nación and National Police dismantled the ‘Scorpion’ gang. Five individuals, including alleged coordinator Jefferson Andrey López Lozano, were apprehended. The group is accused of trafficking marijuana, cocaine, and bazuco across various sectors of the city, including the El Limón and Villa Resistencia areas.

In a separate series of raids targeting the ‘Los Brujos’ structure, police seized cash, 17 mobile phones, 92 daily payment booklets, 832 credit cards, ammunition, and a traumatic weapon. One raid took place in the Vegas del Yuldaima neighborhood in a residence linked to a social media influencer. While no arrests were reported in the ‘Los Brujos’ investigation, authorities recovered various technological items and a simulated check for 380 million dollars.
