Ibagué authorities investigate machete attack and home invasion

Authorities in Ibagué, Colombia, are investigating two separate violent incidents. In the San Isidro neighborhood, a 17-year-old male is being sought by police after allegedly attacking his father with a machete. The victim sustained a severe injury to his left arm that required hospitalization and potential surgery. The attack is being treated as an episode of domestic violence.

In a separate incident in the Ceiba del Salado neighborhood, a 57-year-old woman was assaulted inside her home on September 14. The victim reported that a young man, approximately 20 years old, entered her residence after allegedly stalking and observing her movements for several days. The woman sustained multiple bruises and injuries to her abdomen and limbs. While there has been speculation regarding sexual assault, authorities have not yet confirmed or ruled out such charges through medical or legal procedures.
