Ibagué to host Color Fest 5K for Youth Week

The Color Fest 5K ‘Del Ritmo a la Acción’ will take place in Ibagué this Sunday, August 30, as part of the Youth Week celebrations. The event is designed to combine sports, music, and color to engage local youth and families.

The race will begin at the La Estación Shopping Center at 6:00 a.m. and conclude at the Parque Deportivo. While the 300 official registration slots have already been filled—granting those participants an official event t-shirt—the organizers noted that the general public is still welcome to participate in the route without prior registration by wearing sports attire.

Following the race, the Parque Deportivo will host an entrepreneurship fair featuring various youth-led projects and commercial initiatives. Isabela Buendía, a youth manager in Ibagué, described the event as a celebration of joy and music, while Claudia Aristizábal, Secretary of Social Development, emphasized that the programming aims to provide a space for young people to express their talents and ideas.
