Ibai Llanos addresses RoRo helmet dispute in La Velada boxing event

Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, the organizer of the La Velada boxing spectacle, has spoken about the controversy surrounding Spanish influencer RoRo's use of a special protective helmet during her bout with Mexican fighter Samy Rivers. RoRo claimed the helmet was needed to shield her nasal septum after surgery, but the equipment was not standard boxing gear and Rivers argued she was not given prior notice to adapt.

Llanos said he was unaware of RoRo's request for the custom helmet until the issue emerged publicly. He admitted that, had he known she could not tolerate nose strikes, he would not have authorized the fight. The streamer attributed the problem to a communication breakdown between the athletes' teams and emphasized that health concerns should have taken precedence over the event's schedule.
