Ibaraki Robots U18 clinches North district title, earns spot in Elite League

The Ibaraki Robots U18 team finished the Infonia B. League U18 Regional League North district with a 6‑1 record, securing first place and qualification for the 2026‑27 Elite League. The achievement marks the club’s first appearance in the elite tournament since its founding in 2022. The team recorded victories over rivals such as the Iwate Big Bulls U18, Utsunomiya Brex U18, and a narrow overtime win against Levanga Hokkaido U18. Head coach Kawaguchi expressed gratitude to supporters and confidence in the players, while captain Haseba praised the squad’s resilience after a single loss.

The Elite League will commence in September 2026, featuring twelve top U18 teams from across Japan and will be hosted at various venues including Komazawa Olympic Park.
