Šibenik landlord reports severe property damage after ten-month rental

A woman from Šibenik has shared photos on Facebook documenting the severe condition of an apartment following a ten-month rental period. The property, which belonged to her children's late father, was reportedly renovated, freshly painted, and furnished prior to the tenancy.

The landlord claims that after two tenants occupied the space with two dogs, the apartment was left in a state of extreme neglect, featuring food remains, hair, dirty floors, and an unbearable odor. The dispute reportedly escalated following disagreements regarding utility costs and the condition of the property, leading to police intervention.

A legal proceeding is currently underway to determine criminal liability. The landlord expressed particular frustration over an offer of 100 euros as compensation for the damage, noting that the property requires professional deep cleaning, disinfection, and potential repairs.
