Iberanime Matosinhos 2026 announces program and venue map

The organizers of Iberanime Matosinhos 2026 have released the full program and venue map for the event, which will take place on October 10 and 11 at Exponor in Matosinhos. This marks the festival's return to Northern Portugal following a previous edition in Santarém.

The event features three main stages. The Iberanime Stage will host various cosplay competitions, including the World Cosplay Summit and the Iberanime Kids Contest. The Nissan Stage will focus on dance and music, featuring the Dub Challenge and K-pop dance covers by the group Heart Gun. The Japan Stage will offer educational content, such as Japanese language classes, conferences on studying in Japan, and panels on animation concepts like Sakuga.

Musical guests include Masatoshi Ono, known for performing themes for Hunter x Hunter and Dragon Ball Kai, and Japanese singer-songwriter SERRA, who will make her Portuguese debut. The lineup also features Brazilian rapper AC Raps.

The venue has been reorganized to include a new Gaming Area with PlayStation and Just Dance stations, a renovated Artist Village, and an expanded Otaku Market. New facilities on the first floor include a Workshop Room, a Mental Health Space, and a Safe Room.
