Iberdrola and Asprima partner to boost home electrification

Iberdrola and the Asprima Foundation (Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid) have signed an alliance to promote electrification and energy efficiency in new residential developments. The agreement establishes a collaborative space to share successful case studies and implement solutions such as photovoltaic self-consumption, aerothermal energy, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

This partnership aims to help developers meet the requirements of the Technical Building Code (CTE) and achieve high energy ratings (Class A). Such improvements can facilitate access to green financing, such as green mortgages, and local tax benefits like IBI or ICIO reductions.

Jorge Ginés, Director General of Asprima, emphasized that the real estate sector must adopt electrification to drive sustainability and decarbonization. Luis Buil, Iberdrola’s Smart Solutions lead, noted that the collaboration provides developers with the necessary tools and knowledge to shape the future building stock through decisive electrification.
