Iberdrola and Enagás report nine-month financial results
Spanish energy companies Iberdrola and Enagás have released their financial results for the first nine months of the year.
Iberdrola reported a net profit of €5,816.1 million, a 9.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth was significantly bolstered by a €953 million capital gain from the sale of its Mexican business to Cox. Adjusted net profit rose 8.8% to €5,140.5 million, driven by expansion in its regulated networks business. Consequently, the company raised its 2026 guidance, targeting at least 10% annual growth in adjusted net profit and aiming for record earnings by the end of the year. Iberdrola also announced an interim dividend of €0.275 per share, an 8.7% increase.
Enagás reported a net profit of €204.1 million, representing a 22.3% decrease from the €262.8 million recorded during the same period in 2025. The decline is attributed to the absence of large capital gains from previous asset sales, such as Soto la Marina and the Gasoducto Sur Peruano transaction. Despite this, recurring profit stood at €195.8 million. The company maintained its 2026 targets, including an EBITDA goal of €620 million, noting that regulatory frameworks impacted regulated revenues by €45.1 million.
