Iberdrola authorized to occupy public land in Albacete for wind farm upgrade

The Castilla-La Mancha regional government has authorized Iberdrola Renovables Castilla-La Mancha to occupy public land in the province of Albacete for 30 years. This authorization is intended to facilitate the repowering of the Molar del Molinar wind farm located in the municipality of Alcadozo.

The project involves modernizing the facility to include 11 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 4.5 megawatts, resulting in a total installed capacity of 49.5 MW. The occupation of the La Ventosa public forest will primarily support access routes to specific turbines. Iberdrola will pay an annual fee that will be adjusted according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
