Iberdrola marks 125 years with Madrid exhibition and power updates

Iberdrola is hosting an immersive exhibition in Madrid to mark its 125th anniversary, tracing the history of electricity from ancient Greek discoveries to modern technological advancements. The exhibition covers key scientific milestones, including Thales of Miletus’s observations of static electricity, Alessandro Volta’s creation of the first battery, and the historical “war of currents” between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla.

In conjunction with electrical infrastructure management, Iberdrola has announced scheduled power outages in various Madrid municipalities for the week of October 5 to October 11. These planned interruptions, which range from a few minutes to over an hour, are intended to maintain supply reliability and perform necessary repairs in areas such as Getafe, Brunete, Meco, and Valdemoro.
