Iberdrola overtakes BBVA for third in Ibex 35 capitalization

Iberdrola has reclaimed the third position in market capitalization on the Ibex 35, overtaking BBVA. Following a 0.58% increase to 20.73 euros per share, Iberdrola closed the session with a market capitalization of 138.331 billion euros.

In contrast, BBVA shares fell by 4.03% to 23.81 euros, resulting in a market capitalization of 131.193 billion euros. This shift occurred during a volatile trading day where the Ibex 35 index dropped 2.17% due to global debt pressures and declines in the Spanish banking sector.

Banco Santander remains the leader in market capitalization at 171.906 billion euros, followed by Inditex with 165.334 billion euros.
