Iberdrola reports 5.8 billion euro profit through September

Iberdrola reported a net profit of 5.816 billion euros for the period between January and September, representing a 9.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's EBITDA reached 11.890 billion euros, up 7.5%.

Net financial debt rose to 56.984 billion euros from 51.755 billion euros at the end of the previous year. The company attributed this increase to ongoing investments and the purchase of minority stakes in its Brazilian subsidiary, Neoenergia, totaling 1.109 billion euros.

The company's Networks business saw a 14.9% increase in EBITDA, reaching 6.430 billion euros, driven by a larger base of regulated assets and higher tariffs, particularly in the United States and Brazil. Iberdrola is allocating 62% of its investments, approximately 6.277 billion euros, toward networks.

The board of directors has approved an interim dividend of 0.275 euros per share, an 8.7% increase, amounting to a maximum payout of 1.835 billion euros.
