Iberdrola reports 5.8% growth in electricity distribution

Iberdrola reported a 5.8% increase in electricity distribution during the first nine months of 2026, reaching a total of 206,947 GWh. This growth was primarily driven by a 22.8% surge in the United Kingdom, bolstered by increased domestic demand and the integration of the Manchester-based distributor, Electricity North West.

Global production also rose by 3% to 90,560 GWh, supported by a 16% increase in offshore wind production. Regional growth was noted in Brazil, which saw a 6.9% increase in distribution, and Spain, which grew by 4.8% between July and September. The company continues to expand its strategic presence in the United States and Australia.
