Iberdrola technological exhibition attracts over 20,000 visitors in Madrid

The immersive technological exhibition ‘An Electrifying Journey: An Iberdrola Immersive Experience’ has drawn more than 20,000 visitors during its month-long stay at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid. Organized by Iberdrola to commemorate the company’s 125th anniversary, the event saw such high demand that all available time slots were exhausted, forcing an increase in the number of tickets initially planned.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by King Felipe VI, alongside Iberdrola Executive Chairman Ignacio Sánchez Galán and Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida. The interactive display explored the history of electricity and how electrical innovation is currently transforming industry, mobility, and urban environments.

The initiative also achieved significant engagement with the educational community. Approximately 4,000 students from 40 different schools participated in specialized workshops and visits designed to teach scientific fundamentals, such as static electricity, electrical circuits, and wireless energy transmission, to encourage interest in science and technology.
