Iberdrola to sponsor Spanish rhythmic gymnastics team for 2028 Olympics

Iberdrola CEO Ignacio Galán met with the Spanish national rhythmic gymnastics team to celebrate their gold medal victory at the 2026 World Championships in Frankfurt. This achievement marks Spain’s first world title in the discipline in 35 years and secures the team's direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

During the meeting, Galán announced that Iberdrola will sponsor and design the official competition leotards for the national team for the 2028 Olympics. This initiative makes Iberdrola the first company in Spain to take on the design and provision of competition apparel for a national team.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Jesús Carballo, president of the Royal Spanish Gymnastics Federation, and national coach Alejandra Quereda. Team members present included captain Inés Bergua, Salma Solaun, Marina Cortelles, Lucía Muñoz, and gymnasts Andrea Fernández and Andrea Corral.
