Iberia announces rebranding and Latin American expansion for 2027 centenary
Iberia is preparing for its centenary in 2027 by implementing a major rebranding and expanding its presence in Latin America. The airline has unveiled a new logo and aircraft livery, which will be integrated into its fleet starting in 2027. This visual update coincides with a project to redesign long-haul cabin interiors to improve passenger comfort and quality.
As part of its 2030 Plan, Iberia is prioritizing technology and digitalization. The airline has begun a progressive rollout of Starlink satellite connectivity to provide high-speed, free Wi-Fi to passengers. Additionally, the company is increasing capacity in key markets, including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. In Mexico, Iberia recently launched a direct Madrid-Monterrey route and expects to provide over 820,000 seats between Mexico and Spain this year.
To commemorate its 100 years, Iberia will host interactive 'Espacios Iberia' in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, and São Paulo. Cultural initiatives will also take place in Madrid at Casa de América to honor the historical links between Spain and Latin America.
