Iberia expands winter service with three daily Madrid‑Menorca flights

Iberia, together with its subsidiaries Iberia Express and Air Nostrum, has been awarded a public‑service contract by Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Mobility to operate the Madrid‑Menorca route during the winter season (November to March). Under the new agreement the airline will run three flights each day, adding one extra flight per day and raising seat capacity by about 27% compared with the previous winter schedule.

The additional 21,000 seats are intended to reduce seasonality and improve travel options for both business and leisure passengers. Tickets are already on sale. Antonio Linares, Iberia’s sales director for Spain, Portugal and North Africa, said the extra flight “is a key step to break seasonality and make daily travel easier, while also linking Menorca more directly to Iberia’s international network via Madrid.”
