Iberia Group expands flight services to Menorca and marks 10 years to Iceland
Iberia Group has announced an expansion of its flight services, including increased connectivity for Menorca and a decade milestone for its Iceland route.
Through its subsidiaries Air Nostrum and Iberia Express, the group will offer three daily flights between Madrid and Menorca starting in November. This follows a successful bid for a public service obligation contract from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The new schedule increases seat capacity on the route by 27% compared to the previous winter contract.
Additionally, Iberia Express is marking 10 years of seasonal operations between Madrid and Reykjavik. Since June 2016, the airline has operated over 1,000 flights to Iceland, transporting more than 170,000 passengers. The current summer service utilizes Airbus A321neo aircraft and is scheduled to continue until September 30.
