Iberojet launches direct flights between Spain and El Salvador
Spanish airline Iberojet has officially launched operations in El Salvador, establishing new direct flight connections between Europe and Central America. The inaugural flight arrived at San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport from Madrid in the early hours of Monday, September 14.
The new service aims to strengthen tourism, business, and exchange between the two continents. Iberojet will operate two weekly flights, providing direct links to both Madrid and Barcelona. This expansion increases the direct flight options available to El Salvador, which previously relied on limited routes from Iberia and Avianca.
For travelers, the direct route reduces travel time and minimizes the risks associated with connections. The airline's arrival is part of a broader strategy to position El Salvador as a regional aviation hub and capitalize on the growing number of travelers from Spain.
