Iberojet launches direct flights between Spain and El Salvador

Iberojet has launched new non-stop flight operations between Spain and El Salvador. The airline is operating two weekly flights using Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with routes departing from both Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona to San Salvador.

The inauguration of the Madrid route included participation from Ávoris executives and the Salvadoran Ambassador to Spain, Anabella Machuca. Salvadoran officials, including Minister of Tourism Morena Valdez and CEPA President Federico Anliker, received the inaugural flight at San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport.

This expansion coincides with reported growth in El Salvador’s civil aviation sector. Homero Morales, an executive at the Civil Aviation Authority (ACC), noted significant progress in global connectivity, citing an increase in air transport agreements and memorandums of understanding. The country currently hosts 25 airlines, including 16 international carriers, and maintains 13 authorized aerodromes.
