US President Donald Trump has issued a severe warning to Oman, stating the nation will be “bombed the shit out of them” if it interferes with US efforts to manage the Strait of Hormuz or obstructs agreements with Iran.

The threat comes as Oman and Iran continue technical negotiations to establish a joint mechanism for maritime navigation through the strategic waterway. While Oman has acted as a mediator, Trump asserted that the US maintains “total control” over the strait and suggested it could eventually be declared US territory.

In response to the escalating rhetoric, Iran has rejected claims of US sovereignty over the waterway, asserting it remains Iranian. Iranian officials have also signaled a shift from a defensive to an offensive posture following the expiration of a 60-day ceasefire memorandum. Additionally, the Iranian Army has offered a $30,000 reward for the capture or killing of US soldiers.
