Ibiúna church desecrated by woman caught on camera

A woman was caught on security cameras desecrating the Igreja Nossa Senhora das Dores, also known as the Matriz Church, in Ibiúna, São Paulo. The incident occurred on the morning of Friday, August 14, in the city center.

Footage shows the woman entering the church with a backpack, from which she removed a bottle and poured feces onto a cross located on the floor. A bystander leaving the church witnessed the act and was visibly startled.

According to a community pastoral leader, the woman has been identified but is not a regular attendee of the church. While her husband, a police officer, reportedly visited the church to discuss the matter, the woman has denied involvement in the incident. Local authorities may investigate the circumstances of the act.
