Ibiza cultural highlights and municipal routes
Ibiza offers diverse cultural and historical experiences across its five municipalities. A circular route of approximately 110 kilometers allows visitors to traverse the island, starting in the capital, Eivissa. This route includes Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Sant Joan de Labritja, and Santa Eulària des Riu.
Eivissa serves as a major historical hub, featuring Dalt Vila, a walled old town, and the Puig des Molins necropolis, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Dalt Vila is characterized by its 16th-century Renaissance walls, the Santa Maria Cathedral, and narrow cobblestone streets. Nearby, the former fishing neighborhoods of La Marina and Sa Penya offer a vibrant atmosphere with shops and bars.
Sant Josep de sa Talaia is the island's largest municipality by area, encompassing significant natural and historical sites such as the Ses Salines Natural Park, Es Vedrà, and the Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta.
