Ibiza hotels face significant seasonal closures in October

Approximately 60% of hotels associated with the Ibiza and Formentera Hotel Business Federation (FEHIF) are scheduled to close during the second half of October. According to FEHIF estimates, about 40% of establishments plan to end their activities this week, with only slightly more than one-third remaining open until October 31.

Santiago García Ramón, manager of FEHIF, stated that extending the tourist season requires two inseparable factors: sufficient consumer demand and adequate air connectivity. He emphasized that promoting Ibiza as an attractive destination outside of the peak summer months must be done in conjunction with maintaining available flights to make extended stays viable.
