Ibiza PSOE demands resignation of councilwoman Ana Ferrer Prohías

The PSOE in Ibiza has called for the resignation of councilwoman Ana Ferrer Prohías following a major police operation against drug trafficking and money laundering. While the investigation does not currently implicate Ferrer herself, her husband, José Luis Cortés Cortés, is among four individuals detained in the operation.

The local socialist party is demanding that Ferrer relinquish her seat and her decision-making responsibilities within the Ibiza City Council while the situation is clarified. They have specifically targeted her role as vice president of the Municipal Sports Board, requesting that Mayor Rafael Triguero explain whether she will remain in her position.
