Ibiza sexual hacker sentence reduced due to judicial delays

The High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands (TSJIB) has significantly reduced the prison sentence of an IT specialist known as the ‘Ibiza sexual hacker’. The court lowered the total sentence from 60 years and six months to 19 years, seven months, and 15 days.

The reduction is due to the application of a highly qualified mitigating factor regarding undue judicial delays. The legal proceedings began in January 2018 but did not reach trial until April 2026. The court noted that the case faced several periods of suspension, including a gap between December 2022 and October 2023, despite defense requests to advance the process.

While the sentence has been reduced, the court maintained the original convictions and the proven facts, which include the misappropriation of intimate photos and videos, possession of child pornography, and the sexual abuse of a woman.
