Ibiza to host medieval art experts for cultural heritage conferences

The Eivissa City Council will host the first Esphera Conferences on October 15 and 16 at Sa Peixateria. The event aims to bring together specialists in historical and artistic heritage to promote the knowledge and value of Ibiza’s cultural assets.

The initiative was proposed by local professor Martí Vila, following his participation in a specialized exhibition at the Museo del Prado regarding Mediterranean Gothic art. The conferences will feature prominent experts, including Joan Molina, the head of European Painting Collection up to 1500 at the Museo del Prado, who is recognized as a leading Spanish specialist in medieval art.

Discussions will also include Giandomenico Bocchiotti and Nuria Mignone, focusing on the international projection of cultural goods. The program is expected to conclude with a presentation by poet Antonio Colinas regarding the poetic dimension of the region.
