IBK Industrial Bank of Korea launches Pokemon-themed credit card

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea has released the ‘I-Pokemon Credit Card’, a new non-face-to-face product featuring six different designs based on popular Pokemon characters, including Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax, Charizard, Team Rocket, and the Squirtle Squad.

The card offers discounts across eight major lifestyle categories. Subscribers to services such as Netflix and YouTube Premium can receive a 30% discount. Additionally, users can get 10% off at convenience stores and fashion retailers, while 5% discounts apply to restaurants, cafes, public transportation, delivery applications, and lifestyle stores like Olive Young and Daiso.

Individual customers can apply for the card via the i-ONE Bank personal app or the IBK Card app. Annual fees are set at 15,000 KRW for domestic (BC) cards and 18,000 KRW for international (VISA/Mastercard) versions. This follows the bank's previous release of a Pokemon-themed check card in July.
