Iblei National Park perimetrazione debate in Sicily

The regional commission on Territory, Environment and Mobility of the ARS will meet after August to discuss a new perimetrazione for the Iblei National Park. President Giuseppe Carta said the hearing will clarify the procedural steps, assess economic and social impacts, and involve local workers, farmers, artisans and families.

M5S parliamentarian Filippo Scerra urged an end to delays, calling for balanced mediation that protects biodiversity while safeguarding existing agricultural and productive activities. He announced a dossier gathering observations from all affected municipalities, to be submitted in line with TAR guidelines, aiming to create sustainable tourism and development opportunities without harming the territory.
