IBM and Hermes report third-quarter financial results

IBM reported a rise in third-quarter revenue and profits, driven largely by its software sector. Revenue reached $17.10 billion, exceeding analyst expectations of $16.82 billion, while net income rose to $2.19 billion compared to $1.74 billion the previous year. CEO Arvind Krishna noted that clients are utilizing ‘Super Intelligence’ to transform operational models. The company's software revenue grew 8% to $7.80 billion, and infrastructure revenue increased 4% to $3.70 billion.

Hermes saw a 5.5% increase in third-quarter revenue, totaling €4.1 billion, though this figure fell short of market expectations. For the nine-month period ending September 2026, consolidated revenue reached €12.3 billion, a 3% increase compared to 2025. Growth was supported by the Asia-Pacific region, which recorded approximately €2 billion in sales, acting as a counterbalance to slower performance in mature markets. Notably, the Middle East was the only region that did not record growth, with sales of approximately €149 million.
