IBM and KKB expand partnership for AI and mainframe modernization

IBM and Kredi Kayıt Bürosu (KKB) have expanded their strategic partnership to focus on data management, mainframe modernization, and generative AI. Under the new agreement, KKB will utilize IBM’s watsonx product family to develop solutions aligned with its generative AI strategy while strengthening its corporate data infrastructure.

The modernization of KKB’s mainframe and open systems aims to accelerate software development processes and enhance operational visibility, performance monitoring, and database management. These upgrades are intended to increase the security and efficiency of KKB’s financial systems.

Upon completion of this technology transformation, KKB aims to improve integration between different systems and reach a capacity capable of supporting more than 8.5 billion transactions annually. IBM Turkey General Manager Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna noted that deriving real business value from generative AI requires reliable data and a robust technological infrastructure.
