Ibrahim Gambari named visiting fellow at University of Pennsylvania
Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Nigeria’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Perry World House, the global affairs center of the University of Pennsylvania, for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The appointment recognizes Gambari’s career in diplomacy, peacekeeping, and international governance. During his fellowship, he is expected to participate in lectures, workshops, and public programs, sharing his expertise in African affairs and international relations.
Gambari joins a 10th-anniversary fellowship cohort that includes international figures such as former Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla Miranda and Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. This follows his earlier selection as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the university’s Center for Africana Studies.
