İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu meets Devlet Bahçeli amid TFF leadership crisis

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu met with Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli in Ankara. The meeting occurred amid ongoing investigations into referees and a wave of resignations within the federation's management.

Following the visit, the TFF stated that Hacıosmanoğlu expressed gratitude to Bahçeli for his hospitality and support for Turkish football. This follows a previous gesture from Bahçeli, who sent a floral arrangement with the message, “You are not alone,” to Hacıosmanoğlu during the period of internal unrest.

Amidst the leadership crisis, reports indicate that several key members of the TFF board have resigned, including Lale Cander. While some critics have called for Hacıosmanoğlu to step down, others suggest his continued tenure may be linked to ambitions regarding a position within UEFA's management, with elections scheduled for next April in Astana.
