Ibrahima Baldé joins FC Lorient on loan from Rodez

Ibrahima Baldé has joined FC Lorient on a loan deal with an option to buy from Rodez AF. The 23-year-old forward secured the move during the final hours of the transfer window.

Baldé is noted for his strong performance in Ligue 2, having scored five goals in his first four matches of the current season. He previously demonstrated his ability against AS Saint-Etienne (ASSE) by scoring twice during the last campaign.

Following the departure of Lucas Stassin to Sevilla, Baldé was viewed by some as a potential replacement for ASSE. However, the club, managed by Kilmer Sports Ventures, did not secure his signature, allowing Lorient to acquire the striker, who is valued at approximately €2 million by Transfermarkt.
