Ibram appoints Ambassador Rodrigo de Azeredo as new CEO
The Brazilian Mining Association (Ibram) has announced the appointment of Ambassador Rodrigo de Azeredo Santos as its new CEO. Azeredo, a career diplomat, will succeed Raul Jungmann, who passed away in January.
Azeredo is currently serving as the Brazilian ambassador to Norway. He is expected to officially assume his new role at Ibram during the first half of December, following the completion of administrative procedures with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The selection followed an extensive search process supported by an external headhunting firm. The Ibram Board of Directors stated that the appointment was based on technical and non-partisan criteria, noting Azeredo's professional background in economics, foreign trade, infrastructure, and technology.
