Italy hosts diverse cultural and historical festivals in September 2026

Various cultural and historical events are scheduled across Italy for mid-September 2026.

In Forlì, the eleventh edition of the Ibrida Festival, themed ‘Hyper Reality’, will feature video art, dance, and artificial intelligence performances. The festival includes the ‘Interference’ collective exhibition and various workshops focused on AI-driven creative workflows.

Historical and archaeological celebrations include the XIV Bastida di Sorres in Borutta, which features medieval reenactments and a specialized exhibition titled ‘Medioevo in veste’ highlighting Sardinian queens. In Locri, the ‘Ierofania - Sulle vie del Sacro’ series will host multidisciplinary events at the National Archaeological Museum and Park. The Via Flaminia Festival will continue its journey through Cantiano and Fossombrone, connecting Roman heritage with contemporary theater and music. Additionally, the PaesInFestival will take place in Arce, Ceprano, and San Giovanni Incarico, focusing on slow tourism and archaeological paths along the Via Latina.

In Pesaro, the fourth Incanto Film Festival will showcase innovative cinematic languages and provide a platform for young directors from September 25 to 27.
