IBU and EBU extend media rights partnership until 2034

The International Biathlon Union (IBU) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have extended their long-standing media rights and production partnership through the end of the 2033/2034 season. This extension builds upon an existing agreement that runs until 2030, continuing a relationship that first began in 1993.

Under the new terms, the EBU will maintain exclusive worldwide media rights, excluding Russia and Belarus. The EBU and its members will continue to serve as the host broadcaster, producing international coverage for global audiences. The agreement encompasses three IBU World Championships (2031, 2032, and 2033), four IBU Open European Championships, and four IBU Junior World Championships between 2031 and 2034.

The partnership also covers the annual IBU World Cup circuit, which consists of 58 competitions per season. Rights holders are guaranteed at least 150 hours of international coverage during each regular season, distributed across 14 weeks of competition.
