ICA urges customers to improve etiquette in grocery stores

A recent survey conducted by Verian on behalf of ICA reveals that approximately 23 percent of Swedes are frequently irritated by the behavior of other customers in grocery stores. The most significant grievance, cited by 73 percent of respondents, involves customers tasting bulk candy without paying.

Other behaviors noted as disruptive include blocking aisles with shopping carts and consuming food items, such as fruit or snacks, before reaching the checkout.

Store employees are specifically requesting that customers be more attentive when approaching the register. Staff members have urged shoppers to put away mobile phones and remove headphones to ensure they can hear questions regarding discounts or bonus checks, which helps prevent delays for other customers in line.
