ICAC Operation Rosny: Missing notes linked to $1M payments
During the seventh week of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) Operation Rosny, lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood provided testimony regarding alleged illegal activities. A central point of the inquiry involves a missing fuchsia-colored slip of paper that reportedly detailed $1 million payments from fugitive property developer Jean Nassif to the lobbying firm Beckington in exchange for fast-tracked developments.
Greenwood testified that the note was previously kept in the phone case of Toplace general manager Larissa Mouawad, but its current location is unknown. Counsel assisting the inquiry questioned the validity of the note, suggesting it may have been a recent invention by Greenwood.
Operation Rosny is investigating three primary allegations involving the NSW Liberal Party, Catholic Schools NSW, and various Sydney business figures. Fugitive developer Jean Nassif, who is at the center of the probe into alleged illegal donations to the Liberal Party, is expected to provide evidence via audiovisual link from Lebanon.
