ICAI to host financial governance workshop for West Bengal MLAs

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organizing a one-day workshop titled ‘Strengthening Governance in Public Financial Management: A Legislative Perspective’ for members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The event is scheduled for August 18, 2026, at the ICAI Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.

Expected to host over 200 newly elected MLAs, the workshop aims to enhance legislative understanding of fiscal management, budget analysis, and government accounting. The goal is to support informed decision-making and improve public financial governance. The session will feature West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari as the chief guest and Speaker Rathindra Bose as the guest of honour.
