ICAO President to open IATA Wings of Change Europe in Brussels
Toshiyuki Onuma, President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is scheduled to inaugurate the Wings of Change Europe (WOCE) conference in Brussels, Belgium, on October 15.
Organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the event serves as a major aeropolitical forum aimed at shaping a regulatory agenda to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the European aviation sector. Industry leaders have noted that while aviation provides significant economic and social benefits, the sector faces challenges from high operating costs, thin profit margins, and burdensome regulations.
The conference seeks to bring together industry representatives, governments, and global institutions to address these issues and promote a more connected and sustainable aviation landscape in Europe.
