Campo Grande mobilizes R$ 280 million for urban infrastructure and social programs

Campo Grande is implementing extensive urban infrastructure and social welfare measures. Through the Vira CG Infraestrutura program, the city is mobilizing over R$ 280 million in investments for paving, drainage, and urban maintenance across seven regions. Recent administrative actions have approved 16 new paving lots and contracted DMP Construções Ltda. for R$ 14.1 million to handle works in the Lageado Complex, covering 21 roads. The municipal administration aims to reach R$ 1 billion in cumulative investments by 2028, pending federal funding.

In addition to physical infrastructure, the city is expanding its social support systems. The Water and Sewage Social Tariff, managed by Águas Guariroba and the municipal government, is being expanded to benefit more than 57,000 families. By linking eligibility to the CadÚnico registry, the program provides a 50% discount on water and sewage bills to low-income households, aiming to improve public health and reduce domestic financial burdens.
