Icatu Seguros reports 46% growth in educational insurance
Demand for educational insurance at Icatu Seguros grew by 46% in 2025 compared to the previous year. This trend comes as Brazilian private educational institutions face delinquency rates of up to 20.3%, according to data from Linx and Sponte.
To mitigate financial risks that could interrupt students' schooling, institutions are increasingly adopting products like the 'Seguro Nota 10', a joint venture between Icatu and Veritas. This insurance model provides a safety net for students, financial guardians, and staff. For students, coverage may include medical expenses from accidents or compensation for accidental death or disability. For families, the insurance ensures tuition payments continue in the event of the financial guardian's death, disability, or loss of income.
