iCaur V27 SUV spotted in Vietnam ahead of expected year-end launch

The iCaur V27, an off-road style SUV from Chery Group, has been spotted in Vietnam. Although the vehicle observed carried Lao license plates, it is part of a planned official distribution in the Vietnamese market, which is expected to begin by the end of this year.

The iCaur V27 utilizes an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain. In this configuration, an electric motor directly drives the wheels while a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine acts as a generator to provide energy to the 34.31 kWh battery.

With dimensions of 5,045 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width, and 1,894 mm in height, the vehicle's size is comparable to large SUVs like the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The interior features a minimalist design centered around a 15.4-inch touchscreen and options for a 15-speaker Pioneer sound system. Representatives from Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam have indicated that the top-tier version could have an estimated price of approximately 2.2 billion VND.
