The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the 12 host venues for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Eight stadiums in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia will host the tournament, which returns to Africa for the first time since 2003. The South African venues are Wanderers Stadium (Johannesburg), SuperSport Park (Centurion), Newlands Cricket Ground (Cape Town), Kingsmead Cricket Ground (Durban), St George’s Park (Gqeberha), Mangaung Oval (Bloemfontein), Boland Park (Paarl) and Buffalo Park (KuGompo City, formerly East London). Zimbabwe will stage matches at Harare Sports Club, Queens Sports Club (Bulawayo) and the newly built Fale Mosi‑oa‑Tunya International Cricket Stadium (Victoria Falls). Namibia’s sole venue is the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek.

The tournament will feature 14 teams playing a total of 57 matches under a new three‑stage format: a Super Series for the three lowest‑ranked teams, a group stage with two groups of six, and a Super 7 round before the semi‑finals and final. The official theme “Three Nations, One Heartbeat” and branding draw on the African philosophy of Ubuntu, emphasizing unity, diversity and community across the three host nations. ICC Chairman Jay Shah called the event a “landmark moment” and expressed confidence that South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will deliver a memorable World Cup.

The unveiling of the host cities, venues, logo and campaign “Make the Circle Bigger” marks the start of the countdown to the tournament, scheduled for October‑November 2027.
