2027 Cricket World Cup ticket applications exceed one million

Demand for tickets to the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup has surged, with over one million applications submitted within three days of the ballot opening on October 1, 2026. More than 320,000 fans have registered for the ballot, which will remain open until November 21, 2026.

The tournament will be hosted across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 2 to November 21, 2027, featuring 14 teams and 57 matches. Ticket prices range from approximately $9.50 for entry-level options to over $31 for high-tier matches, with various discounts available for students, pensioners, and families.

The India-Pakistan fixture is the most sought-after match, attracting more than 110,000 applications. Other high-demand matches include India versus South Africa and India versus Australia. ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta noted that the rapid response demonstrates the global stature of the event, marking the return of a major ICC men’s marquee event to the African continent after two decades.
