Abhishek Sharma and Marco Jansen claim top ICC rankings

India’s Abhishek Sharma has reclaimed the number one spot in the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings following a rapid 35-ball century against New Zealand in Wellington. His performance, which included 113 runs off 38 deliveries, helped India secure a six-wicket victory and an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.

In the Test rankings, South Africa’s Marco Jansen has ascended to the top of both the bowling and all-rounder categories. Jansen displaced Australia’s Mitchell Starc in the bowling charts and ended India’s Ravindra Jadeja’s four-year reign as the leading Test all-rounder. His rise follows a significant performance in Gqeberha, where he scored 85 runs and took a five-wicket haul to help South Africa level the series against Australia.

Additionally, South African captain Temba Bavuma rose to second in the Test batting rankings after scoring 179 against Australia. In the ODI rankings, England’s Ben Duckett and Harry Brook both saw improvements following their recent tri-series in Pakistan.
